• PoE (Power over Ethernet) is used to simultaneously supply power to network-compatible device via the incoming network cable - for this the device must support PoE.
• This pive PoE injector applies power to wires 4, 5, 7 & 8 when the DC power supply is connected, while wires 1, 2, 3 & 6 are used for data transmission.
• Compared to an active PoE injector, which checks the compatibility of connected devices before activating the current flow, pive PoE is the same voltage at all times.
• The pive PoE injector has a 5.5 mm DC socket to which an external power supply suitable for the device to be operated can be connected.
• A power supply is not part of the box contents, as connected devices usually are not PoE standardised and different current and voltage requirements.
